This often includes a residency requirement as a condition of acceptance. Yet, many employers refuse to pay the travel expenses of the candidate’s spouse during the recruitment process.

Host Joe Turner recounts a recent recruitment experience where his wife’s travel expenses were not reimbursed and he articulates why he believes local governments should happily pay for a candidate’s spouse to travel to the interview.
